Jacobus Company, LLC (“we”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains how information is handled in connection with Home Project Helper (the “Software”) and the home-project-helper.julieclarkson.com website.
Home Project Helper runs on your own device and stores your project data as files on that device. We do not collect, receive, host, or sell your renovation data. The Software contains no analytics or telemetry. The only time information leaves your device through the Software is to validate your license with our payments provider (Polar), and only to the extent described below.
We do not collect your project files, estimates, budgets, contractor contacts, photos, documents, or any content you create or import. That data stays in files on your device and under your control. The Software sends no usage analytics or telemetry to us.
When you activate or validate a Pro license, the Software sends your license key, our public organization identifier, and a device label (to enforce the device limit) to our Merchant of Record, Polar, over a secure connection, solely to confirm the license is valid. This exchange does not include your project data. Purchases are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record; Polar collects and processes the payment and billing information necessary to complete your purchase and to comply with tax and legal obligations, under Polar’s own privacy policy.
Our marketing website is hosted by Vercel, which may process standard technical information such as IP address and request logs to serve and secure the site. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send.
We use Polar (payments and licensing) and Vercel (website hosting). We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law.
Because your project data never reaches us, its retention and security are within your control on your own device. For information Polar or Vercel process, their respective policies apply. We use reasonable measures to protect the limited information we do handle (such as support emails).
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Because we hold very little, most requests concern support correspondence or purchase records held by Polar. Contact us at contact@julieclarkson.com and we will assist or direct you to the right provider.
The Software is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this Policy; material changes will be posted at home-project-helper.julieclarkson.com.
